A Note About Ballot Counting
Are ballots cast early or by mail counted the same as in-person votes on Election Day?
Vote by Mail and early votes are counted exactly the same as traditional in-person ballots. These elections will not be decided until ballots cast early or by mail are counted in addition to the ballots cast on Election Day.
How are mail-in ballots processed when they arrive at the County Clerk's Office?
Within two days of receiving them, the ballot signature verification and secure storage process begins. Ballots are counted starting at 7 PM on Election Day (at the close of the polls).
